Two Saskatoon men charged in a car chase and shooting two years ago have been found guilty.

A judge found the pair, William Gunn and William Paul, guilty Tuesday in Saskatoon’s Court of Queen’s Bench.

Court heard the two were in a stolen vehicle on March 21, 2015, when they thought they saw someone from a rival gang. Gunn, the driver, followed the other car, pulled up beside it and passed a shotgun to Paul. Paul then shot at the car from the back seat.

A police chase ensued, ending when Gunn crashed the stolen vehicle into a garage in Caswell Hill. No one was injured.

The two were found guilty of evading police, intending to endanger life by discharging a firearm, and possession of stolen property over $5,000, among other charges.

Sentencing arguments for the two are scheduled for June 28. One of the defence lawyers said the pair may appeal the conviction.
