One person has died after a hit and run Wednesday night on the Sweetgrass First Nation. Police were called to a grid road shortly after 8:30 p.m. where they found a man suffering from serious injuries.
He was taken to hospital in Saskatoon by STARS Air Ambulance, where he passed away on Thursday evening.
A 35-year-old man was arrested and charged on Thursday morning in connection with the hit and run. Police also seized a car belonging to the accused.
The accused is scheduled to make his first appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on December 21.
