The City of North Battleford has approved the use of land for a heritage park that will capitalize on aboriginal tourism.  If it goes ahead, the Battlefords First Nations Cultural Pavilion and Heritage Park would be the first of its kind in the world.

The land is near the Western Development Museum and Gold Eagle Casino.

Plans include an enclosed teepee along with a First Nations cultural pavilion.  A number of First Nations have formed a partnership with the city to start working on the proposal.
