No explosive devices were found Friday after a bomb threat forced the evacuation of Saskatoon high school.

Administration at St. Joseph High School on Nelson Road contacted police at 11:22 a.m. to report they had received a phone call from someone making bomb threats, according to a Saskatoon police media release.

The school was evacuated within 10 minutes, said Joanne Weninger, an education superintendent at Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools.

Students were sent to a nearby soccer centre or to Mother Teresa Elementary School on Konihowski Road where parents were notified they could pick up their kids. Students were told they could not drive their own vehicles out of the area.

Police gave the all clear shortly after 4 p.m. after concluding their search of the school and surrounding area.

Patrol officers alongside members of the explosive disposal unit and school resource unit participated in the search.

Police said they are still investigating the threat despite not finding explosive devices.
