Nine people have officially been awarded the Saskatchewan Order of Merit.
Lieutenant Governor Gordon Barnhardt inducted the individuals at a ceremony Wednesday night.
Those receiving the province's highest honour include Prince Albert entrepreneur Malcolm Jenkins, Saskatoon engineering professor Dr. Karim Nasser, and entrepreneur Joseph Bourgault.
A posthumous honor also went to the photographer Courtney Milne.
The Chief of the Whitecap Dakota First Nation Darcy Bear also earned the honour at Wednesday's ceremony.
