A house fire in the 2100 block of Cumberland Avenue on Saturday morning caused an estimated $100,000 in damage, according to the Saskatoon Fire Department.

Crews were called to the blaze around 10:45 a.m. Fire officials say there was smoke coming from the home, but there were no visible flames outside. The home was safely evacuated, but the homeowner said there were two cats inside.

The fire department says there was a fire in a main floor bedroom and the basement. The two cats were found in the search and returned to their owner.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No one was injured.
