Mark Villani

Mark Villani joined the CTV Saskatoon news team as a reporter in February 2017.

Mark was born in Edmonton, Alberta and grew up in Calgary. He began his career at the age of 17 as a freelance writer with the Calgary Sun. From there, Mark worked as an overnight anchor/reporter with 660 News CFFR Radio in Calgary.

Mark graduated in 2016 with honours from both the University of Calgary (Communications Studies) and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (Broadcast News). He is a proud recipient of the Governor General’s Bronze Academic Medal for achieving the highest academic average at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Upon graduation, Mark joined CKPG News TV in Prince George, British Columbia where he worked as an anchor/reporter, before making the move to Saskatoon.

In his spare time, Mark enjoys running and training for marathons and cheering for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He also volunteers his time, helping out with storytelling workshops at Saskatoon’s Open Door Society.
