A 25-year-old man and 17-year-old youth are facing drug and firearms charges after police searched two Prince Albert homes Friday.

Members of Prince Albert police’s combined forces special enforcement unit alongside integrated street enforcement officers and patrol officers seized 182 grams of cocaine, an undisclosed amount of cash and a restricted firearm after searching the homes.

Both the man and the youth are from Prince Albert. They’re charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a restricted weapon with ammunition and possession of a weapon obtained by crime.

The 25-year-old is scheduled to appear in a Prince Albert provincial court Sept. 15. The youth’s court appearance is set for Oct. 8.

Two Prince Albert women, 19 and 32 years old, are charged with firearms offences in relation to the search. They were released but are scheduled to appear in court Oct. 8.
