A 31-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman are facing charges after an alleged attempted murder in eastern Saskatchewan.

RCMP received a report Sunday night that shots were fired on the Yellow Quill First Nation.

A female victim was injured and taken to hospital, Mounties said in a media release.

Two suspects were arrested Monday near Saskatoon.

The 31-year-old was charged with attempted murder and 10 weapons-related charges. The 23-year-old was charged with accessory to attempted murder.

The pair appeared in court Tuesday. Their next court date is set for Thursday.

The Yellow Quill First Nation is located about 12 kilometres east of Rose Valley and 250 kilometres east of Saskatoon.
