Two men are facing charges after Kindersley RCMP seized 240 grams of marijuana during a home search and traffic stop this week.

Mounties seized about 55 grams of marijuana Tuesday evening after pulling over a vehicle just off Kindersley’s 12th Avenue East. A man was arrested during the stop, police said, and an investigation led officers to a home in Smiley, Sask.

The residence was searched early Wednesday morning. Police seized 185 grams of marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia from the house before arresting one man inside the home.

Nineteen-year-old Benjamin McGuiness faces charges including possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking, operating a motor vehicle without registration and driving a vehicle without a licence.

Twenty-year-old Adam Richard Pearson is charged with possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Both are scheduled to appear in Kindersley provincial court Dec. 2.
