A 17-year-old girl who died in a highway crash northwest of Saskatoon Tuesday evening has been identified as a Langham teen.

Cassidy Gosling was pronounced dead at the scene of the two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 16 and the Dalmeny Access Road. She and four other teenagers were in one of the vehicles, while a 70-year-old man was in the other vehicle.

“The life of this amazing individual ended too soon,” a post on a GoFundMe page set up to help Gosling’s family with funeral costs and travel expenses stated.

Gosling was from Langham, Sask., and a student at Dalmeny High School.

“She was caring, loving and had a laugh that was truly unforgettable,” the post read. “Cassidy had an amazing life ahead of her. She will forever be remembered in our hearts.”

The other teenagers in the vehicle —three 17-year-olds and a 16-year-old — as well as the driver of the second vehicle were all taken to hospital in Saskatoon in stable condition.

A total of four ambulances responded to the collision, a spokesperson for MD Ambulance said.

Eastbound traffic on Highway 16 was restricted to one lane for several hours following the crash.

RCMP are still investigating.
