A woman suffered minor injuries Friday afternoon when a downtown Saskatoon jewellery store was robbed.

A lone man wearing a Saskatchewan Roughriders jersey — with the number 13 — and a green New York Yankees hat entered the store on the 200 block of 2nd Avenue South around 2:45 p.m.

He was armed with a knife and pushed a female employee out of the way before grabbing merchandise and leaving the store, police said.

He was last seen on foot travelling northbound on 2nd Avenue.

He is described as a six-foot-tall aboriginal man in his late 20s with an average build.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Saskatoon police or Crime Stoppers.
