Police say a bullet fired through the patio door of an east-side Saskatoon apartment Monday evening is not believed to be a random act.

Witnesses told police they saw a male fire a handgun from the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 800 block of Kingsmere Boulevard just before 6 p.m. Officers found a hole in the patio door of a second-level apartment that was consistent with a bullet.

There was no indication whether the home was occupied at the time of the shooting but there were no reports of injuries, police said in a news release.

Three males in their late teens or early 20s, all of them wearing dark hoodies, were seen leaving the area in a small, gold-coloured car.
