Saskatchewan Liberal leader Darrin Lamoureux has entered the race for the Saskatoon Meewasin seat in the upcoming byelection.
Lamoureux, who ran unsuccessfully for the Liberals in last spring’s provincial election, announced his candidacy Wednesday.
The only other confirmed challenger is Saskatoon doctor Ryan Meili, who is seeking the nomination as the Saskatchewan NDP candidate.
The Saskatoon Meewasin riding was formerly represented by Saskatchewan Party MLA Roger Parent, who died last month after he was diagnosed with cancer.
No date has been set for the vote.
