A man has been taken to hospital after he was stabbed in the neck in Saskatoon Wednesday evening.

Police were called to the stabbing on the 2100 block of 22nd Street just before 7 p.m. Police say the 46-year-old man suffered a stab wound to his neck and was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He underwent surgery and is currently in stable condition. 

A witness at the scene saw two people flee after the stabbing, police said. Officers are looking for two suspects believed to be youth and known to the victim. 

Police closed part of 22nd Street for about an hour after responding to the call.
