Saskatchewan’s highway hotline map was painted yellow Friday indicating winter-driving conditions across the province.

A spring storm moving in from Alberta walloped much of Saskatchewan with freezing rain and snow.

Winter-driving conditions were reported on highways spanning Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert, North Battleford, Yorkton and numerous other parts of the province.

Areas north and east of Saskatoon were hit hardest by the weather.

Prince Albert had seen 10 to 15 centimetres of snow by Friday morning while Humboldt had recorded 10 centimetres.

Environment Canada forecasted snow and rain to continue into Saturday for most of central Saskatchewan.
