Shellbrook RCMP were called to a three motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 3 and Highway 55.
A southbound SUV with 4 occupants was in collision with another SUV with 2 occupants, as well as a semi. Shellbrook Fire and Ambulance Emergency services were called out, and STARS medical helicopter was deployed as well.
Five victims were transported to hospital, with undetermined injuries. One of the victims with more serious injuries was transported by STARS to Royal University Hospital, and remains there in treatment.
The RCMP Traffic Analyst attended the scene as well. The investigation is in it’s early stages, and is ongoing.
