A lack of rain continues to take its toll on an area east of Prince Albert.

Fire crews have been fighting a wildfire in the Torch River rural municipality, located about 100 kilometres northeast of Prince Albert, since Friday. Flames currently span 12,000 hectares.

The area was evacuated Friday, forcing 23 people from their homes.

Videos supplied by fire crews show water-bomber planes and helicopters working to contain the blaze.

Crews, on Tuesday, were building containment lines to prevent the fire from spreading.
