A 37-year-old man from the Meadow Lake area is facing numerous charges, including the sexual exploitation of a person with a disability, for allegedly luring three minors over the internet.

RCMP say officers in Meadow Lake became involved in the investigation on April 5. The case involves two 14-year-olds and a 17-year-old.

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit assisted officers in the arrest, police said in a media release.

The man is charged with luring minors over the internet for a sexual purpose, possessing child pornography, invitation to sexual touching, sexual exploitation of a person with a disability, sexual interference, making sexually explicit material available to a child, sexual assault and sexual exploitation of a young person.

He appeared in Meadow Lake court on Monday. RCMP say officers are not releasing his identity in order to protect the identity of the victims.

The investigation is unrelated to the arrest of a 23-year-old Meadow Lake man last week, police say. The 23-year-old was charged with numerous child porn offences on Friday after a joint investigation, stemming back to August 2015, between Saskatchewan police and investigators in Colorado.
