Early Saturday morning Martensville residents woke to police cars, crime scene tape and evidence pylons surrounding a home on 1st Ave.
The RCMP have not yet commented on the incident, but dried blood could be seen on the street in front of a blocked off house.
One resident down the street says his surveillance system captured a man breaking into his truck earlier in the morning. He said he had a skinny build and appeared to be in his 30s.
There is no confirmation of a connection between these two incidents.
