A 23-year-old man is facing a manslaughter charge after the death of a Stanley Mission man earlier this week.

RCMP said in a media release officers were called to a home in the northern Saskatchewan community on Monday morning and found 21-year-old Isiah McKenzie dead inside the residence.

An autopsy performed Wednesday in Saskatoon revealed the death was due to foul play, police said.

The accused was arrested and charged Friday. Both men were known to each other and investigators are not seeking any other suspects, according to RCMP.

The 23-year-old is set to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court Feb. 8.
