A charge of manslaughter has been laid against a 24-year-old woman in connection with the death of a man in northern Saskatchewan.

Late Sunday morning, 24-year-old Jonathan St. Pierre of Wollaston Lake was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the community’s health centre with unknown injuries.

RCMP have now confirmed the death is a homicide, following an autopsy Wednesday in Saskatoon.

Adrienne Leona Linklater of the Hatchet Lake First Nation was arrested Thursday and charged with manslaughter.

Linklater is scheduled to make her first court appearance Monday in La Ronge.

Wollaston Lake is located about 350 kilometres north of La Ronge.
