A 27-year-old Saskatoon man was arrested after being found in possession of illegal drugs.

Around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Saskatoon police stopped a speeding vehicle near the Broadway Bridge. The subsequent investigation revealed that the operator of the vehicle had recently been charged for drug-related offenses. It also showed he had a court imposed condition, which included he submit to a search by police.

Police say Fentanyl was found during the search.

The man has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. He is expected to make an appearance before a Justice of the Peace on Sunday.
