A man escaped with narcotics after holding up a River Heights pharmacy late Sunday.

The man demanded drugs from the pharmacy counter of a drug store located in a strip mall at Assiniboine Drive and Warman Road just after 11 p.m. A weapon was not shown to staff during the robbery, Saskatoon police said in a news release.

After receiving an undetermined amount of drugs the suspect left on foot. A canine unit attempted at track of the man but was unable to locate the suspect.

The man is described six-feet tall with a medium to large build. He was wearing light-coloured pants, a dark jacket, black toque, and a black neck-warmer was over his face.
