A man is dead after a collision between a car and a semi in north-central Saskatchewan.

The crash occurred Tuesday afternoon on Highway 3, about one kilometre west of Crutwell.

RCMP said the driver and lone occupant of the car, a 78-year-old Lloydminster man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name hasn’t been released.

The driver of the semi, a 70-year-old Regina man, was taken to hospital in Prince Albert with undetermined injuries.

The highway was closed for several hours while police investigated.
