Outlook RCMP have confirmed that a man is dead after a fire near Glenside, Sask. on Friday.

Emergency crews from the nearby communities of Outlook and Hanley were called to the fire at a home in the R.M. of Rudy around 12:20 a.m. on Friday.

When they arrived, flames were shooting out of the building.

Two women got out of the house without injury, but a 70-year-old man did not get out.

Police confirmed Sunday that his body was recovered from the burned remains of the home. An autopsy has been ordered for later this week.

A GoFundMe page has been started for the family.

The cause of the fire is not yet known, but police do not believe it is suspicious.

Fire investigators and the coroner are at the scene.

Glenside is located about 80 kilometres south of Saskatoon.
