A 53-year-old man is facing charges after threats were reportedly made against Saskatoon City Hall and Mayor Don Atchison.

Police said in a media release an unknown man called the Saskatoon Transit customer service line Tuesday and threatened the mayor as well as City Hall.

The 53-year-old is charged with two counts of uttering threats in relation to the incident. He is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon provincial court Oct. 28.
