Police have charged a 43-year-old man in the hit-and-run death of a 14-year-old girl in Prince Albert.

Montana Netmaker was struck and killed on Central Avenue in Prince Albert Monday night while riding her bike with friends.

Leslie Samoleski has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death, criminal negligence causing death, and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.

Samoleski also faces additional charges related to a 15-hour standoff with police in Prince Albert that began after Netmaker was struck Monday night. Those charges include possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and storing a loaded fire-arm.
