A 42-year-old man has died in hospital two weeks after an alleged fight with a family member.

Saskatoon police were called June 18 to a home in the 3000 block of 20th Street West shortly before 6 a.m. Two men were reportedly fighting inside the residence.

Terrance Buffalo, 42, was found injured when police arrived and was transported to hospital. He died Wednesday.

His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening at the time of the assault, police wrote in a media release.

Nineteen-year-old Dallas Buffalo was taken into custody at the scene and charged with aggravated assault.

Police called the altercation a domestic incident and sources told CTV the two men were related.

An autopsy is scheduled for July 4.
