A 30-year-old man is in custody following an armed robbery in Saskatoon Friday night.

At approximately 10:45 p.m., police received a call from a cab company stating one of their drivers had been robbed at gunpoint. The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect and vehicle were located a short-time later, but the driver would not stop for officers, Saskatoon police said.

After a slow pursuit, the suspect stopped the vehicle and ran.

Police dogs tracked the man down and he was arrested.

A handgun and cash were located during the incident, according to police.
