RCMP have laid a murder charge in connection to the death of a 28-year-old woman on the Mistawasis First Nation.

Mounties announced the charge against a 30-year-old man from the community on Wednesday. He is facing one count of second-degree murder in connection to the death of Cindy Joseph.

He is set to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court Thursday morning.
