A 20-year-old man charged in Prince Albert’s first murder of the year has been released from custody on a number of conditions.

Jordan Christopher Herron from P.A. faces first-degree murder and break and enter charges in connection with the death of 17-year-old Clayton James Bear.

Bear was shot in the early morning hours of April 14 at a home in the 500 block of 27th Street East. He died in hospital.

Herron was released under electronic monitoring and is scheduled back in court Aug. 18.

A co-accused, 25-year-old Orren Johnson from Alberta, is also charged with first-degree murder and break and enter.
