A 19-year-old from Muenster, Sask. died Wednesday morning after he was thrown from a tractor.

RCMP were called to a rural road three kilometres west of Burr, Sask. around 9:20 a.m. The man was driving west when the bucket on his front-end loader contacted the road, ejecting him through the tractor’s side cab door. The tractor did not roll, according to RCMP.

A passing motorist came across the scene and called 911. Emergency crews said the man died on scene.

Police do not consider the death suspicious or criminal in nature and have passed the investigation on to Occupational Health and Safety.

The man’s name has yet to be released.

Burr and Muenster are located in the Humboldt area. Burr is 17 kilometres south of Humboldt while Muenster is nine kilometres east of the city.
