The conspiracy trial for Curtis Vey and Angela Nicholson continues in Prince Albert on Monday.

Vey and Nicholson are accused of conspiring to murder their spouses in 2013.

Vey told police he could never have followed through with plans to murder his wife and alleged lover’s husband, the jury heard Friday.

A taped interview between police and the Saskatchewan man was shown in a Prince Albert court during day four of the murder conspiracy trial for the pair.

Vey and Nicholson have yet to testify in the trial. A defence lawyer in the case said earlier this week he wasn’t sure if the two would take the stand.

The trial is expected to continue into this week. Several more witnesses, including undercover police officers who sat in cells with the accused, are expected to testify.

CTV’S Jules Knox is reporting live from court.
