A jury has found 35-year-old Tyler Hurd guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Cynthia Crampton.
It took the jury several hours to delivers its verdict that Hurd murdered Crampton in her rented basement suite apartment and that the killing was planned and deliberate.
Hurd received an automatic life sentence in prison with no parole eligibility for 25 years after the jury handed down the verdict Friday afternoon at Saskatoon’s Queen’s Bench Court.
