A 16-year-old boy who died after going into medical distress at a Saskatchewan youth residence will be the subject of an inquest next month in Prince Albert.

Dylan LaChance was taken to the Prince Albert Youth Residence on September 12th of last year -- one day after a fight involving several boys outside the high school on the Big River First Nation.

A week after arriving at the residence, a staff member noticed the teen was having health troubles and he died in hospital not long after.

The inquest is scheduled to last five days and begins next Monday.
