An inmate who escaped during an escorted temporary absence over the weekend is still being sought by police.
Battlefords RCMP say Allan Roderick Wright, 35 escaped custody Saturday during a visit to his home community of the Moosomin First Nation near North Battleford.
Wright is a prisoner at the Willow Cree Healing Lodge in Duck Lake where he is serving a 41-month sentence for assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, break and enter, and forcible confinement charges.
He is described as 6-foot-2, 256 pounds, with medium complexion, brown eyes, and black hair.
