Another Saskatoon hospital has been hit by an outbreak of illness.

A unit that serves orthopedic and trauma patients at Royal University Hospital has been closed to new patients, transfers and visitors following an outbreak of gastrointestinal illness that sickened four patients.

Royal University is the third Saskatoon Health Region facility that has had to restrict admissions in recent months.

St. Paul's Hospital and the Les and Irene Dube Centre for Mental Health have also been affected by similar illness outbreaks of gastrointestinal illness.
