Pig carcasses that fell from the back of a moving truck blocked a portion of Highway 7 near Harris, Sask. Wednesday.

A section of the road, approximately five miles from the central Saskatchewan town, was blocked for several hours -- roughly between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. -- as crews worked to clear the spill.

RCMP advised motorists to slow down or seek alternate routes of travel through the area during the blockage.

Harris is located southwest of Saskatoon between Rosetown and Delisle.
