A dozen Saskatoon police cars surrounded the 200 block of Avenue I South Friday.
At around 11:15 a.m., a witness reported seeing someone with a handgun enter a home. Officers blocked off the area before convincing the home’s occupants to exit the residence one at a time.
A search of the home turned up rifle ammunition, but no gun was found, police said in a media release.
Several people were detained. They’ve since been released.
Police say they are still investigating.
