A former city councilor plans to run in the October 19t by-election in Ward 3.
Rik Steernberg says he is concerned about a number of issues, including how much money the city is spending. He also wants to work toward better traffic flows in the Confederation and Pacific Heights areas.
Steernberg served three terms on city council until he decided not to seek re-election in 2003. That's when Moe Neault took the Ward 3 seat. The seat is available again after Neault passed away last month.
