A person with a medical problem had to be rescued from scaffolding in downtown Saskatoon Sunday evening.

Firefighters used an aerial ladder truck to reach the individual who was seven metres up on scaffolding in front of the building at 267 Third Avenue South at 9:40 p.m. Sunday.

The patient was conscious but required medical attention, fire officials said in a news release.

Firefighters and MD Ambulance paramedics stabilized the patient who was then lowered to the ground in the platform bucket of the fire department’s aerial ladder truck.

Further details about the individual’s condition were not available.
