The Ministry of Environment has announced it has lifted the open fire ban for most of northern Saskatchewan.
According to the ministry, recent rainfall and cooler temperatures have reduced wildfire hazards.
That, along with reduced wildfire activity, has made it possible to lift the ban.
The province says some rural and urban municipalities still have their own fire bans in place.
