A sentencing hearing will be held next month for a father and daughter who defrauded millions of dollars from Saskatchewan residents.
Ron Fast and Danielle Fast-Carlson operated Marathon Leasing Corp. in Saskatoon. Through that company, more than one hundred investors, mostly seniors, were defrauded out of millions of dollars before the company went bankrupt in 2008.
Ron Fast pleaded guilty to possessing proceeds of crime, fraud, and making false statements and his daughter was found guilty of similar charges.
A sentencing hearing for both will be held during the week of April 7.
Some of the victims in the case have banded together to launch a class action lawsuit that goes before a judge next week.
