Police are investigating a serious assault that landed one man in hospital.
Just after 5:00 a.m. Sunday, officers we're called to a residence on 28th Street West and Avenue B North. When they arrived, they found a 20-year-old male who had been severely beaten. He was transported to Royal University Hospital and is in stable condition.
Police believe the incident resulted from a dispute between occupants of two nearby residences, and was not a random act of violence.
