A six-year-old boy was taken to hospital after he was struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to 20th Street and Avenue N around 2 p.m. The boy was hit at a very low speed and his mother was able to partially pull him out of the way, police said.
The driver of the vehicle was charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian.
The boy is hearing impaired, which may have been a factor in the crash, police said.
