The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating a death at the Regional Psychiatric Centre.
Saskatoon police were called at approximately 12:20 a.m. Sunday to a report of a 36-year-old female patient who had been found unresponsive in her cell.
The woman was rushed to Royal University Hospital, where she was declared dead.
Police say there is no evidence of foul play. However, because it was an in-custody death, the police service’s major crime section is investigation.
A cause of death has not been released.
