A 20-year-old cyclist is in hospital after being struck by a City of Saskatoon patching truck.

Emergency crews were called to the crash at Idylwyld Drive and 29th Street West just before 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

A patching truck travelling southbound on Idylwyld hit the cyclist as it was turning right onto 29th Street, police said in a media release.

The man was treated at the scene before being transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
