Crown lawyers want a convicted, self-described pedophile to be designated a dangerous offender. That would mean Raymond Lindsay would spend an indeterminate amount of time in jail.

Lindsay was found guilty in February of the sexual assaults of a six-year-old girl and her nine-year-old brother. At trial, the court heard Lindsay assaulted the children on a trip from Alberta to Saskatchewan in July of 2005.

Another dangerous offender process is already underway against him related to four other sexual assaults that happened in 2008.

The Crown Prosecutor argues Lindsay should have an indeterminate sentence because he has demonstrated a pattern of committing terrible crimes against children dating back more than a decade.
