A two-vehicle collision in Colonsay has claimed the life of a 28-year-old Manitoba man.

RCMP say a northbound pickup truck failed to yield at an intersection and was struck by an eastbound pickup in a residential area of the community late Monday night.

The driver of the northbound truck, a 28-year-old man from Sperling, Man., was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. His name hasn’t been released.

The driver of the other pickup, a 21-year-old man from North Cypress, Man., wasn’t injured.

Mounties say speed is considered a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Colonsay is located about 65 kilometres east of Saskatoon on Highway 16.
